PRESS RELEASE – EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2020 will continue the tradition of legends, personalities, and history makers at Oshkosh evening programs, as this yearโ€™s Theater in the Woods schedule brings together notable guests from the worlds of aviation and spaceflight throughout the week.

The 68th annual Experimental Aircraft Association fly-in convention is scheduled for July 20-26 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

โ€œAs we continue to plan for a full AirVenture event in 2020, the evening programs at Oshkosh have become known as the place for unforgettable programs involving people from throughout the history of flight,โ€ said Rick Larsen, EAAโ€™s vice president who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions. โ€œThousands of people enjoy these unique gatherings every evening during AirVenture and this yearโ€™s lineup will again entertain, educate, and enthrall all who attend.โ€

While the exact schedule is still being finalized, with additional programs expected, some of the major themes for this yearโ€™s evening programs at Theater in the Woods include:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Tuesday, July 21:ย An Evening With Innovators, including the Grand Finale of the five-year Founders Innovation Prize competition

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Wednesday, July 22:ย EAA WomenVenture, celebrating women aviators and their achievements

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Thursday, July 23:ย Program to be announced

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
