PRESS RELEASE
The Museum of Flight’s popular Jet Blast Bash returns August 2–3, offering aviation fans Seattle’s closest vantage point to witness the U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ thrilling takeoffs and landings during the Boeing Seafair Airshow. Held on the Museum’s flightline, Jet Blast Bash is also the Museum’s largest and most anticipated outdoor family festival of the year. This high-energy weekend includes live performances from crowd-favorite dance bands Brickhouse and Mr. Pink, plus electronic music from C89.5 DJs on Sunday, August 3. Aviation enthusiasts can explore rare World War II aircraft on display, including a PBY Catalina, Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, and North American B-25 Mitchell bomber.

Festivalgoers can enjoy a diverse selection of food from five food trucks, a beer garden, dozens of family-friendly activities, and interactive booths hosted by local community partners. Inside the Museum, guests can take in the acclaimed new exhibit, The MiG-21 Project, and attend daily presentations by jet pilot Will “Psycho” Ward, who shares what it’s like to fly a MiG-21 supersonic fighter. This year, the Blue Angels are scheduled to close each day of the airshow, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the Museum’s galleries and indoor programming before the grand aerial finale.
