Each year, Warbird Adventures hosts a premier three-day aviation photography event at its home base, the American Dream Skyranch (18SC) in South Carolina. This private gathering offers photographers exclusive access to historic warbirds, expert instruction, and FAA-waivered flight operations. The next event takes place May 16-18, 2025. Photographers can register HERE

Open to photographers of all skill levels, the event provides unique shooting opportunities, including air-to-air photography, sunset and night engine run-ups, and dedicated warbird flight sessions. A diverse lineup of aircraft is expected, including a P-51 Mustang, T-6 Texans, helicopters, and possibly a Wildcat and P-40 Warhawk. Period-authentic pinup model shoots add a creative touch. Participants can bring RVs, campers, or tents, with shaded creekside camping available. Families and pets are welcome, with additional activities such as fishing, swimming, off-roading, and a gun range. The event fosters a close-knit atmosphere with catered meals, campfires, music, and games.

Hosted by renowned warbird pilot Thom Richard, this event is more than a photography workshop—it’s an immersive aviation experience. Registration requires a deposit, and attendees gain access to a private Facebook group for updates. Photographers will leave with stunning images, new skills, and lasting connections. Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
